How a Simple Solution Resulted in Increased Sales
Darwin’s Deli operate a rather unusual sandwich delivery service throughout London and the suburbs. They have 120 bicycles with trailers which they use to deliver lunches to office workers. They offer a range of sandwiches, crisps, hot soups, fruit salad, fruit and cold drinks. They also offer chocolate bars and it was this area in particular that they wanted to increase sales, as it is a great add on to the sandwich sales that form the core of their business. Girling Supplies worked with Darwin’s Deli to come up with a design for a display unit to meet their requirements. This resulted in the development of a bespoke display unit with 6 segments each holding a variety of chocolate lines. This display unit can then sit in the tray that is taken into offices to sell products from.
The Result?
As soon as the new display trays were introduced sales rose immediately and have remained consistently high, much to the delight of all at Darwin’s Deli!
