For many business's 2009 has been one that will only linger in the memory for bankers bonuses, M. P's expenses, business failure and cash flow. Most of us have come through the year relatively unscathed.
The end of November saw un upturn in business and while December has not produced a high volume of orders, I am still waiting on decisions from 2 companies 48 hours before we all start the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Orders from butchers, bakers, sandwich manufacturers, a hotel group and a charity. Sales of plastic containers, ingredient storage boxes, gastronorm trays and shelving.
A sad note is that the owner of a company who I have known for 15 + years is sadly off work recovering from illnesss. When I heard, it made me realise that no one is immune from illness and I have resolved to take greater care of myself in 2010.
I have to thank all the customers and suppliers who supported me throughout a difficult trading period.
4th January 2010
Survived Christmas and New Year celebrations with a slightly expanded waist line. Now focused on 2010 and the exciting challenges that are in front of me.
