Summers here!

What did June 2010 mean to you?

Mini budget from the new coalition government, World cup and all the expectation of England showing the rest of the world how the beautiful game should be played, Wimbledon and the British hopes for a mens champion, or hot days and the chance to light the barbeque?

The month started well and then had a dip in the middle before ending on a high note. The dip in the middle coincided with the beginning of the world cup, and business picked up after England were eliminated. Coincidence? Maybe.

Although there were fewer orders during the month, the value was higher and spread across a number of food companies. Orders for stainless steel items: wall cladding, tables, frames and chiller racks.Plastic stacking containers, dollys, ingredient storage boxes, pallet containers, plastic shelving, nest/stacking containers and cutting board. Mild steel dollys aluminium foils,

Customers, included sandwich manufacturers, restaurant group, bakeries and hotel.

Enquiries from food manufacturers, bakeries and a health supplements company.

One very pleasing set of figures was from visitors to my web site http://www.girlingsupplies.co.uk/. I have to thank Reckless New Media for their help and encouragement it raising the profile of Girling Supplies.

Socially the month was excellent with a visit of daughter and son in law from Germany. Her photographs are at http://lauraevansphotography.blogspot.com/

For July the focus is on business and networking before a much needed break in France. More sun, good food and the opportunity to relax and light the barbeque.
